the movement in stillife part5 by fantasio the movement in stillife part5 by fantasio

first off, thanks to those who commented on the one before,
every comment is appreciated, and will be answered, when time makes it possible for me somehow.

this is, how could it be different, the 5th part of the "movement in stillife"- series.

the main concept in those works is to bring life into a "stillife", in the most cases, by using the viewer to get an idea of a story, from which this images can tell...
thats meant with"movement"

also there are all in all 12 artworks, 3 blue,3 yellow and 3 red ones plus 1 orange, 1 violett and 1 green piece to complete the primary and secondary color-palette.

why did i start with the 5th part as a second in this row...???
well, i have decided to release the first three works on RASTER with the next chapter, so stay tuned if u r intererested
btw, this is done as a acrylic painting with physical airbrush, the orig. size is 70X50cm.

Daily Deviation

Given 2004-04-13
the movement in stillife part5 by ~fantasio is one of those works that just make us stare and swim in its greatness. The color tones, the detail, the smoothness, the shadows, the metallic effects of the bowl, the texture, the brush strokes, and the awesome salamander get together to form an amazing piece of art. This is absolutely beautiful. Even though this has to be the most common subject of all still life projects you still did a spectacular job with the colors and shading. Very nice work.

mazin colors, and it's well balanced. i like the idea of adding a live creature into a still life, it adds a new dimention that's rather interesting. perfect shadows, i love the ribbing on the back of the salamander. nice work, keep it up! +fave

Impessive tenchnique and detial. I like how your salamader(i think) stand out but doesn't distract from the fruit, the light play on the bowl and fruit, and the brush strokes and shading for the back ground.

Most excellent. I especially love the bowl and how smooth and reflective it is. My better half said that the banana was very realistic and that was his favorite part of this. Great work.

You've heard the praise, so I can add some hopefully constructive critisism. :)

I love the lizard and the change it adds, though the fruits seem more well-worked-on.

Though I must add that the apple and the banana cross eachothers in a bit of an unnatural way - the banana must be crushed or very thin and twisted to fit both under the apple and over the edge of the bowl that way.

But this must not obscure the fact that it is a wonderful piece and incredibly well made.

I really love this piece of traditional art!
I'm pretty much in to it myself, (not as detailed as your work truly is), but I just love it!

You've really caught the cross composition, which makes the picture alive. More than it should be without the composition! :D

It'll be a :+fav: for me! (Or for you) XD

I hope to see more of your wonderful art in the future!

I am not normally fond of still-lifes, since many of the ones tend to lack color and seem a little dull. But this, this is different. I particularly like the way the warm, ripe tones of the fruits and the bright spots on the salamander contrast with the blue of the background.

I am especially fond of the salamander. An interesting touch in a still-life.

When I saw a still life on the front page of DA, I thought "Oh dear lord...this place has hit an all time low."

Upon loading the larger version of this... I am no longer horrified.

A strage sort of realism mixed with a glowing, ethereal brilliance...

The colours, textures, brushstrokes are fantastic...

And I LOVE the lizard...though I am a little unsure as to WHY it's there (Perhaps to bring life to the piece) it cerainly adds interest!

I think yes, you HAVE brought in a sort of life here.

So good work and congrats on the deserved DD :)
