Groups
Not sure if that whole vibes about the supergroups is good, as groups always have caused some elitist behaviour in some communities...
I hope this will not develop to some sport now where the new group system is implemented.
Well, for the good news i´ve joined a group called ~
dAgnostic :thumb114675724:
that has the intention to feature artists new or overlooked on dA but with talent.
So on dA its easy to grow in pageviews if you keep posting and faving, but often talented people have not the time to do the marketing work, i think thats where a feature is due.
If you know of some purely gems with only a few (under 20k pageviews) then let me know.

Collaborations -> I do them if time permits, but don´t ask me as its totally depending on mood, time and motivation.

Its not that this fact changes(it won´t) but the use of groups is easier.
as for the different groups targeting the same goals is a problem that is everywhere, even in real life. but every group has different watchers and most comonly other members, even with he same intention, thats why it would make sense to do group categories - i hope that something like this will be implemented someday to make those double group thingies obsolete...
I have seen that behavior in other communities, and DA is not 'safe' from it.
Lest hope it doesnt happen here.

as for improving this is or should be naturally for every artist, if an artist ever says "i finished learning" he is dead
so on the other hand i think critique related groups might be in this case more helpful for improving.
there is a group called seniormentors [link] where artists willing to learn from a seniormember can be mentored in a way, so this might be helpful for you too.
I also doubt that these feature drive the mass traffic to anyones page, so i wouldn´t expect too much from any groups.
