It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Gothic Art NOW


As in a previous Journal mentioned,
i was awaiting the release of the Book
"Gothic Art NOW" edited by Jasmine
Becket Griffith, and a foreword by Brom(!)
Well, from the covers at Amazon,
this book wasn´t very much promising,
but as i received my copy a few days ago
now, i was very, VERY pleased!

Not only the print is fabulous and
first class, its a wonderful collection
of Artist in different techniques,
covering digital media to sculptures
and Oils!
Also the span from todays famous
masters such as Giger, Brom and Luettke
to not so well known but emerging artists,
...(like me:P)
But i can say i´m really proud to have 2
pieces amongst them!

The book is all in all a big inspiration,
and a wonderful present for X-mas...
a nudge for those who havn´t presents yet.

I think the new layout isn´t that bad at all.
Now its possible to put the works on the left
side, and all friends´n fave-stuff on the right...
thats how i like it;-)

i hope more people tend to use it that way!
