End of the year reflection
This will not going to be an in-depth documentation, but as far as this year as a freelance illustrator goes, i can say its definitly what i ever wanted to do and i´m very glad that i did that step (nevermind i´d say this someday) !
I´d like to thank those 10 percent of my nearly 2800 watchers that are still alive and supporting me actively, especially those 1 percent that helps me with critique and viral feedback.
Sure thing is that pageviews and watchers / followers alone don´t make an artist popular or successful, and i´d rather be varied and surprise with "for me" uncommonly submissions, than to stick on a topic to dA -popularity until i can´t see it anymore - maybe its easier with milions of pageviews, albeit that also has downsides such as arttheft for example...
I often see deviantArt as a "reallife reflection" of a virtual art market situation, and it can help to better your social behaviour and marketing stratgies, but after all: its all about personality, happy accidents and originality.
About the matter of change i´ve written a very fitting blog entry here: [link]
To not bother you any longer i wish you a pleasant relaxing and joyful holidays!
For those interested, i have setup a new blog - since the dA -journal are not the best way to connect with content - anyway if you feel like that sounds interesting, come and connect with me at the blogspot: [link]
I´ll focus on objective analyzing my own and other artists work to learn and get better at doing whats my passion.
~Mister-Denial from "The black angel" has interviewed me for an artist representation on their site, so go ahead if you want to know something more about me...
And btw. for the gothic-fashion addicts "the black -angel - store" could be a nice stay for you to.
The "fantasio girls" do get more and more exposure,
attached you find two links to articles or features about them:.designervolkNakedflavour
The Neko -cat has also won a fullpage spot in the upcoming issue of "erotic signature #3" book.
The piece "guitar hero" got a fullpage spot in upcoming "Exotique #5"
Atm. i have a lot "FG" -works in queue, so when time permits i´ll post them here first.
