Artist's Comments

this one isn´t easy to categorize, because its composition is entirely done in photoshop 7, but the whole piece was then printed out onto small pieces of special paper to be stuck on a 100X70cm board, which was then overpainted mainly the red parts and the complete background.

the symbolism behind it is rather complex, but something that can tell a story and i really would like to hear from you, because everyone should see it different and think about it.

from the technical point of view it should be a mark of whats possible to do with digital media combined with traditional media.

this is almost a tribute to all of my art-heroes, because its influenced by really gorgeous people, and i would be happy if you can also tell me on which artists you´d be reminded;-)

major inspiration comes from Dave mcKean, Dalí, bittertaste(from DA), Brom...

btw. FULL VIEW is RECOMANDED , you won´t regret it;-)

This is really beautiful, and I love that it was done both traditionally and digitally even though it's hard to tell which parts are which! I love the little fish, too.
Love the warm and intimate colors in which you portrayed this, for me, the very psique of this person.
The artifacts on her head show to me how complex an inner world can be and the things inside her are precious "objects" she can lose as time, and answers behind the keys, while taking decisions or leaving her fate to luck.
Wings look like something imaginary but they have the same color of her hands the same willing power to take keep anything she might, like that wounded heart.
And the fish puts everything into a question... is she breathing underwater? is she out of place?, her stare seems to tell she's conscious about it.

Outstanding use of media, you're truly an inspiration for me.
