hi there,
its long time no talk, but i was and am kinda busy...
this piece is the result of a collaboration-project, with photographer: hakanphotography
for "Project Creo", an exhibition themed `Collaborations´,at the arts-center in St. Petersburgh, which will be held there between march till may...

i have to thank Akif, for this wonderful invitation, the collaboration consists of four images, for which i´ve picked four of his photographs as root, i tried to turn the subjects into another world, like they would switch from the photograph to a moment of a daydream, where they are the subjects of these paintings.
here is a hint to the root image, for those of you curious guys;-)
www.deviantart.com/view/128878…

this one took me about 7 hours to work on...
with acrylics and airbrush in Painter-classic

hope you like,
greetings,
fant

This is gorgeous, reminds me very much of Klimt with the patterns and warm colours.

The transitions and the edges are skillfully portrayed in this. Blending of form is subtle and shifting enough to keep my eyes moving around the piece. Beautiful.

i was checking my favorites and seen this, can't remember if i have leave a comment before... what's really making this unique her red painted eye area i believe, but when you say like this, "red painted eye area" it doesnt really sounds like a great idea, interesting how the little things works like this isn't it ? as the others says color tones are wonderful but anatomically her right breast and arm seems like kind of merged or flat or fat.

I've been away but am coming by to whittle through my devwatch and you're one of the first I longed to see. This is so wonderful, Ollie! I caught the four elements as well in this artwork. Even though air can signify birds, the hummingbird also ties in with "the messenger" and Native American slant here since the hummingbirds were seen to be reborn Aztec warriors and also messengers in their myths.

As always such paintaking skill in the details of the Native braided hair, face and body paint against a pueblo wall. Then a surprise in her modern dress.

I love that. The colors are beautiful. I like how you did this nice reds then bluntly switch to a pastel sky. The imagination and detail with her pulls me in.

Beautiful, as well in atmosphere than composition and trachnique.
It reminds me of Nada (Sandman).

oh wow! that red paint across her arms and eyes is... w o n d e r f u l.
btw - who is the messenger? the bird or the snail? or neither?
I like the 4 elements used - fire and water [that she's holding], earth [snail] and air [bird].

a truly beautiful piece... the images are suggestive and daliesque in their obscurity and the way they play with the central focus. I love the designs on the womans arms and on her stomach. The colors work very well together and the warm reds contrast nicely with the softer blues... Great work.

thanks for your kind words,
and indeed i like playing with several elements in a painting, but i´m still learning.
but i´m also happy, that such a heavy coloring leads to a merely positive feedback...!
