Sam is the heroine of the TotEH series. Her full name is Lady Sammidoran of Monama. Monamas are sort of an outcast peoples on Kana. They look odd, act odd and are generally shunned. Their strength, speed and ability to see the future cannot be denied.

Sam is a typical Monama. She’s tall and lank, with a handsome female appearance. Her skin is chalk white, like a harlequin or a geisha. Her matte black hair is like a lion’s mane, bursting and full, going all the way down to her ankles. A traditional mark of beauty for the Monamas is to wear their fingernails long and sharp, painted black. Sam’s nails are indeed rather cruel-looking and they are fully capable of sawing through leather hide and etching iron. The biggest thing is her eyes, her Monama eyes: oversized, black, jet black. No eyeballs, no eye-whites—just black.
So that’s Sam, strong as a bear, fast as a deer, wearing her gothic black Monama gown.

Sick work on her dress. I don't get that much out of the background to the left though. Something does not blend with the overall color scheme. But sick work on that girl.
