The concept behind this image is beautiful. The achromatic nature of the painting is what really captures the mood in the image. The fact that you painted over the image and made it your own really adds to the overall emotion of the concept. Your mark-making is precise, crisp, and clear. Although your brush strokes are somewhat visible throughout, it works well with the harmony of the image. It's an excellent painting, however, one thing that really bugs me is that one, visible, translucent circle at the bottom of the horn. I think it would have been okay if you had left it out and left that area opaque. Otherwise, the other marks that overlap each other work well and are totally fine. I like the way how some of the wall overlaps onto the shoulders and creates a mystic feeling throughout. Overall, I give it a 4.5 out of 5. Hope this helps.
